Accredible
its official 2026 announcement states support for Open Badge 3.0 and W3C Verifiable Credentials. Its public Launch price starts at $45 per month on a 12-month term for 50 recipients.
BadgeCert
its public pricing page shows annual issuance tiers and places issuer and earner APIs on the Gold plan. We did not find a current official page that was sufficient to confirm Open Badges 3.0 issuing.
Parchment Digital Badges, formerly Canvas Credentials and Badgr
Instructure documents Open Badges 3.0 as an opt-in feature for paid organizations. New issuers otherwise default to Open Badges 2.1. New free issuer creation has been phased out.
Certifier
Certifier states that all badges it issues support Open Badges 3.0. Its pricing and integration pages expose a free plan, paid tiers, Canvas, Moodle and automation options.
Credly
current official material confirms that earners can import and verify outside Open Badges 2.0 and 3.0 badges. That does not by itself prove that every Credly-issued badge uses version 3.0, so buyers should request an exported sample and verification result.

its official pricing page documents subscription and pay-as-you-go options, five free credentials, API and Zapier. Its public product material emphasizes XRPL blockchain verification; we did not confirm OB3 issuing from the product sources reviewed.

- Prove the format. Ask the vendor to export and verify one credential. Issuing, importing, displaying and hosting Open Badges are different capabilities.
- Match the ecosystem. Test the LMS, HR or CRM connection you will actually use.
- Model the full cost. Compare annual recipients and annual issuances, including SSO, branding, implementation and support.
- Run one real workflow. Create, issue, receive, share and verify the same award on no more than three platforms.

Does Open Badges 3.0 actually matter in 2026?
